Important Message: Burnaby Schools Summer Session 2016
Thank you for your interest in Burnaby Schools for your child’s summer learning experience.
We will be resuming registration this Thursday, May 5, 2016, with a staggered schedule dependent on the grade your child will be entering in September 2016. Courses for other grades will not be available until the scheduled date (next week).
Please see the front page of the District website for the dates scheduled to register your child.
We are requesting that Parents/Guardians complete the Internet Electronic Anonymous Survey, providing immediate satisfaction level results to the school and the district. The information we obtain from this survey is invaluable and provides direction in our school planning and goal setting.
For your convenience, surveys are available in English, French and 16 other languages at:
Once complete, your school will have the results immediately.
Supporting kids’ health for more than 30 years, Heart & Stroke Jump Rope for Heart encourages kids to get active by skipping rope while they collect pledges for heart disease and stroke research. The program gives children the chance to jump and play alongside 750,000 other kids in more than 4,000 schools across Canada. Every 7 minutes someone dies from heart disease and stroke in Canada.
Last year Cameron Elementary raised $6,650 ! Help our school try to raise more than that this year!!
Cameron students are raising funds on their own in many ways. Barbara Castano & Anna Lyubomirova from Division 5 had their own bake sale & lemonade stand at home and raised over $50!

Students are rewarded too! When set fundraising levels are achieved, students can earn great Thank You prizes that will encourage them to become more physically active. Plus, when students raise pledges online, they can earn additional rewards and bonus prizes! Your support will help the Heart and Stroke Foundation to achieve its 2020 goal of reducing Canadians’ rate of death from heart disease and stroke by 25%. Your donation will directly improve the lives of Canadians through preventing disease, saving lives and promoting recovery.
